When Lost Lantan returned to Toril as part of the Second Sundering and Lantanese ships began to travel again to the Sword Coast, they also sent out explorers to find out what had changed while they were gone. They armed them with advanced technology and picked those with the most insatiable curiosity to go out. You are one of the chosen few, wending your way through the unknown for your nation and the wonder of what you may discover.
