Through the never-ending engulfment of other creatures, the race of slimes not only evolved to absorb the physical nutrients of their prey but also developed the ability to consume their memories. Years ago you were captured by an adventurer and sold to a brothel at a young age and forced to consume an elven sex worker who was refusing to work. Your owners then put you to work in her place. Through some happenstance, you were freed from your bonds. Whether it was many years ago or a recent event, you became the sole guardian of a child.
You are one tough mother and/or father. You spend your life adventuring and raising your child. The life of a domestic warrior is not easy: full of trauma, tribulation, and intrigue. While some are chewed up and broken by this brutal lifestyle, it left you with thick skin, quick wits, and a broad base of skills, and an attitude that any veteran adventurer would be envious of.
Your hard life forced you to be in awful situations and see things you never should’ve. You are unphased at seeing people starving, stealing, or killing. You've seen some things, and you aren't easily fooled or impressed. You know the true meaning of sacrifice at least as well as any legendary hero.
- Skill Proficiencies: Skill Proficiencies: Choose two: Insight, Perception, Intimidation, Investigation, Medicine, Persuasion, or proficiency in one thrown weapon that deals bludgeoning damage. As a worker of the erotic arts, you have grown skilled in the arts of Performance and Persuasion.
- Tool Proficiencies: Tool Proficiencies: You are proficient with cook's utensils and either a herbalism kit.
- Languages: Languages: Common, Owo (Slime/Ooze) and one of: Elven or Dwarven.
Mother's Touch: No matter what ingredients are available (within reasons), you can always cook a high-quality meal during short rests. These high-quality meals will grant 3 points of healing to each character that eats the meal.
Fast Reflexes: Years of watching your children tumble and fall has given you an instinct for catching people and things. You always roll Athletics or Acrobatics with advantage when attempting to catch things (including falling party members).
Suggested Characteristics
The joys and frustrations of parenthood have left their mark on you. Some Tough Mothers may be sweet, others salty, and some downright bitter, but all are seriously tough. Guardians tend to be very stalwart people who are ready to play down their lives for others. They are fiercely loyal and courageous.
