Although you are no alchemist, you can use your Herbalism Kit to whip up a simple salve from medicinal herbs or brew teas of minor healing properties (given that you have access to the naturally occurring ingredients of herbs and minerals). Your methods of treatment may be looked down on by those who have access to or grew up with academically taught doctors, or they might be a welcome aid.
Depending on your history and location, you can identify plants, animals, and minerals that have chemical healing or harmful properties.
An example of a harmful animal would be a frog that secretes a toxin but does not identify other harmful animals that do not have such properties.
Your knowledge is limited by your experiences and resources, at the discretion of the DM.
