The Sister of Sufferance are the militant arm of the Hironeidon Pantheon. From a young age you were given to the church by your family. This is a grand sacrifice ask of by the higher class families of the second or third born. You are trained in both religious, ritualistic, and martial teachings. Rigorous study is expected for the first handful of years as their are trials that mark your tutelage. After passing the beginners trials you are granted a less harsh existence and allowed to have more free time and personal study.

Around the age of 16 the trial of Sisterhood is the culmination of your training. Upon success you are considered a Initiate Sister. You are given your own quarters and you are allowed to study at your leisure. You are assigned to a Matron, who will teach four or five Initiates, and she will refine your knowledge and marital training over the next year or two.

Your next trial is that of the First Vows where you are left in meditative contemplation for 2 days where you are to recite, word for word, the entire mantra of the Book of Hiro. At the end of this period you are taken into a circle of Matrons where you are judged, skyclad, on your knowledge and martial ability. If you are judged worth to progress you are allowed to take your final vows where you are given to a Master Sarkian Armorsmith. Here your armor and weapons are made to your specifications.

After your Final Vows you are given an assignment where you are to serve for a period of time. Once this service is concluded you are allowed to ask for another assignment or to be given to a caravan where you get to travel the world. Most Sisters of Sufferance choose to see the world and spread the word of Hiro. When a sister has her twenty first year they are allowed to seek their own assignment out of a number of things that are needed by your people.
