You've belonged to the Unseen - behind their backs often also called "The Unclean" by the citizens of any other social class. You lived among the waste collectors, tanners, gravediggers, bone glue boilers, executioners and sewer workers. The poor but tenacious, earning a hard but honest living, proud of not having to beg or rely on stealing instead. You probably "inherited" your profession from your parents. If you were fortunate, you might have found work at a slaughterhouse instead or you developed a knack for repairing old metal pots and the like and could support your family and friends from the tight knit community of the unseen a tiny bit better in a society that just tolerated you all as a necessary element, but shunned you in every other way. The only ways out of this life were death or to cut any ties and seek your fortune far, far away.
- Skill Proficiencies: Choose two among Sleight of Hand, Insight and Perception.
- Tool Proficiencies: Choose between proficiency with Cooking Utensils, Leatherworker's Tools or Tinker's Tools.
- Equipment: A set of artisan's tools, a set of common clothes, a blanket, a flask and a pouch containing 10 silver pieces.
Odd Quirks (Optional)
Dealing with death, blood, rot, monstrous vermin in the darkness, waste and the putrid fumes of the sewers or the vats full of chemicals to treat leather on a daily basis, as well as having lived among a society, that sooner would acknowlede the existence of a ghost than yours might leave its trace on a person. Magic talent is often identified very late among the Unseen and the uncontrolled surges of power might also have taken their toll on the sanity of a character. Choose or roll 1d8 for a random odd quirk that your char might have developed.
