Whether a misspelled word or an unearthed government document, you know that something bigger is behind it all. Endless hours spent in the back room of a tavern or in the basement of your tiny house putting together the pieces of a massive puzzle, countless gold pieces spent to find the real truth. You will leave no stone left unturned to find what is REALLY going on. Nothing constrains you from finding this, no friends, no family, nothing will get in your way. You can not count the number of bridges you've burned chasing this string.
But something or someone doesn't want you to find this big truth. Collaborate with your dungeon master to create an organization or person that is preventing you from finding the big truth, if there even is one.
- Skill Proficiencies: Choose from Perception or Survival
- Tool Proficiencies: One type of gaming set.
- Languages: One of your choice and Undercommon, which you know from your time studying the Great Truth.
- Equipment: A map of a far-off land, a bottle of ink and an ink pen, a gaming set, and 5 GP, the rest spent on the discovery of the Great Truth
Enemies and allies alike can not figure out what is behind your twisted guise of mildly coherent thoughts that string together into a grand theory. They tremble in fear of your rants and shouting. You have advantage on all Intimidation checks provided you shout out barely understandable theories about your campaign.
Suggested Characteristics
As mentioned before, you've cut a lot of connections and spent a lot of money trying to find out what the truth really is. People may be less inclined to trust you, and you to them as well, since they may be a part of the conspiracy. Also, you may have terrible social skills and could put the discovery of the "truth" above all else.

|---|---|
| 1 | I can't risk others in the pursuit of knowledge, or else I'm just as bad as them. |
| 2 | The truth is all that matters, and I will die for it. |
| 3 | Those who are behind the theory are simply mislead, and I must treat all with kindness in case they are as well. |
| 4 | Those who sacrifice others are simply doing what they must, and so I shall as well to further my goals. |
