Yo dude, that is insane bro. You decided to pursue a higher education but have been drawn astray by the glory of alcohol and possibly the promise of a relationship. Partying is life, and man are you living it. Your clothes are bright and you most likely wear a backwards cap. Intelligence is an afterthought, because all you need to do is get wasted. You play local sports, and you are quite good at them as well.
- Skill Proficiencies: You are proficient in Athletics from your time as an athlete as well as Persuasion from your experience with the people you have relations with.
- Tool Proficiencies: Since you singlehandedly keep a couple taverns in business, a couple barkeeps have decided to help you create your own drinks, and a couple of them may have been a bit more unsavory. You have proficiency in the poisoner's kit.
- Languages: When you get drunk, you can speak a language that only other drunks can understand. It will only sound like gibberish to others around you. Alternatively, you can attempt to speak this drunken language when not inebriated by rolling a d20. If you roll higher than a 10, you can speak it. If not, you only speak nonsense for the next 5 minutes.
- Equipment: You have a tunic with your university logo stitched on it, a mug for ale, a tarnished signet ring with your university logo on it, and a small, tattered bag with 5 GP.
Barkeeps and other folk that frequent taverns can smell the ever-present scent of alcohol on you, and as such, will be much more inclined to give you information or help you out, seeing that you're one of them. Advantage on all Persuasion, Intimidation, and Performance checks when in a tavern.
Suggested Characteristics
As mentioned before, you aren't very intelligent, but you can definitely handle your drink. Strength, Constitution, and Charisma should be some combination of your highest traits. You may also have something to prove, as your adventuring may have been inspired from you being kicked out of your school or your partner leaving you. You're quite brash and probably rub a lot of people the wrong way, but to others of your kind, you're as good as family.
