You are a lucky and privileged student in your final year of study at the University of the Sacred Veil. Located in Blackwood, the capital of Blackwood Province, the university is rooted in history but designed for the future. Student curriculums span all class and career skills and follow a path of lifelong learning and growth. All tuition, housing, meals, books, healthcare, and even a weekly stipend are generously provided as part of a grant from the founder of the campus and governor of Blackwood, Mor'grimzûl the Wise.

The campus is situated in Blackwood city center. It is nestled amongst many shops and an extraordinary music conservatory. The campus is bordered by the peaceful display gardens of Blackwood with easy access to on the job training in a dozen different professions. For students pursuing a role in administration the Hall of Justice is a short walk. And of course those pursuing a more spiritual life, the Cathedral of the Sacred Veil is the centerpiece of downtown.

The university grounds boast several laboratories, greenhouses, lecture halls, recreation yards, comfortable dormitories, dining halls, medical facilities, as well as an elementary school, nursery, and Gurthion State’s largest library.

Blackwood is a walled city, protecting its citizens with extensive layered physical fortifications and magical wards in a modern and expansive manner. While the Spider Fever has continued to ravage the region and the lands south for over two decades, Blackwood and its provincial burgs remain fully functional and have had protection from the plague.

Skill Proficiencies: You are receiving a full education. You have excelled in your classes through studious attentiveness and guile. You are proficient in two skills of knowledge and one of wit.

Tool Proficiencies: You are also educated in a trade. You may choose a toolset for a trade at your school.

Languages: Through your schooling you are fluent in an educated language. You can speak and write in either Infernal, Primordial, or Abyssal.

Equipment: You own a treasured silver item which is invaluable to you. It may be a medallion, pendant, trinket, or piece of jewelry. You have owned it for as long as you can remember.

You also have an allowance which you may use to purchase small goods.

Every student has a Student's Backpack with several items, two sets of common clothes, and one set of fine clothes for mass.

Every citizen of Blackwood may be called upon to man the walls and defend the city. You are drilled in melee and ranged combat and equipped with appropriate gear for your class.
