Way Of The Third Eye Image

You have been born with an "awakened mind," or an innate connection to other planes, drawing knowledge and power from that connection. It gives you your ability to move things with your mind, control the minds of others, and eventually travel to the very planes themselves that give you that power. This is known as "The Third Eye." The Gith, known for their consistency in psionic aptitude, are believed to be the founders of the Way of the third Eye. All lessons are taught in the Gith language, and most of the greatest masters in Third Eye lore are Gith by birth. It is believed that the Astral plane is the greatest source of psionic power, as the very ability to travel there is done with the power of thought, and is why the Gith prefer to abide there.

At some point in your life, most likely at a young age, you were discovered by a member of the Third Eye. An innate psionic ability resonated from you, and it is their duty to train all those that show such aptitude. There are training temples dedicated to this purpose, most found within the astral plane, which you may have been brought to and indoctrinated by. You may have been brought into apprenticeship by one who travels, and teaches others through direct application rather than study and practice.

There is no standard for morality among those of the Third Eye. You can find both benevolent and vile forces within the order. The elements that bind them all together is a thirst for knowledge, wherein lies the power to apply to greater efficiency their psionic abilities. History and religion are vital to understanding the past and what motivates the hearts and minds of men, thus a master of the Third Eye must be a master of both.

As one increases their capacity, more importance is given to the study of the planes, interdimensional travel, and pulling energies to the material plane for manipulation.

When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of history or religion, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found.
