During character creation players can select the following background for their characters, with their GM's approval. You are born with the ability to invoke power from the moon and are therefore its disciple. Moon-Drawn are most imbued with power through ritual and dancing in moonlight (see Ritual in Syzygy). The power comes in many forms but always scales with respect for nature. Through your bond with the moon, you have a Lunar Sponsor who you can contact and converse with to guide you. You have found peace and harmony with the universe through your connection with the moon and must give everything you have to preserve the majesty of nature.

To conduct the Ritual In Syzygy, you must construct an effigy (one size larger than your character's size) of your Lunar Sponsor under moonlight. Next, you set the effigy ablaze and step into it. Stepping into the fire allows you and other willing characters to enter an otherworldly space (resembling a cave) where you can converse with your Lunar Sponsor. Ritual In Syzygy takes one hour and can be done once per long rest.
