The world of New Alyse is strange and extremely dangerous to travel through. An ancient calamity has given rise to lands twisted by arcane forces. Natural and supernatural biomes shift randomly causing many monstrous beasts to lay claim to the world outside the remaining bastions of civilization. This untamed magical world, however, has to be traversed in order to bring supplies and goods to the scattered settlements. This is where the Trail Wardens come into the picture tasked as being both guide and guardian to anyone who seeks safer travel in the wilds. Trail Wardens have been around for several generations and have become an order of adventurers who provide a vital service to the common folk. Marked by either a medallion or charm with the Trail Warden symbol engraved upon it.
These skilled explorers find themselves more comfortable in the wilderness far from the confines of civilization than within.
