Dracolyte, the Ascended

Built by monks, sages and paladins of Bahamut in -1056 DR (who fled to North Faerun after the death of Marduk, aspect of Bahamut, in Unther during the War of the Gods in -1071 DR) the Silver Monastery was intended be the center of a silent reconstruction of Bahamut's cult and power in Faerun. Until nowadays its existence and real purpose are known to very few, but its influence is perceived and contributed strongly to the amplification of the cult of the dragon god through the centuries.

In -602 DR the First Metallic Council took place in the Silver Monastery which brought together the wisest and most powerful metallic ancient dragons from the four corners of Faerun, faithful followers of the principles of Bahamut and concerned with the possible resumption of the power of Tiamat and his cultists. During the Council there was the Manifestation, when Bahamut appeared to those present at the Council in his human form. Along with it, the Council created the Ritual of Souls, an ascension ritual that elevates the mortal soul by connecting it to the vital energy of the dragon god himself, granting the mortal special connections with the divine, with good dragons and any other good dragon creatures. Once the Ritual is over, a metallic dragon egg is conjured by Bahamut himself as a perpetual pact between the ascendant and his god.

As a Dracolyte, you spent many years in the service of the Silver Monastery and are extremely faithful to his teachings and to the god it represents. You have mastered the Draconic language as well as the ancient and contemporary dragon history and the ones related to other draconic species.
