Assassin (Thieves' Guild) Image

You served as an assassin in a thieves' guild. You were trained by a master assassin in the art of shadows and stabbing, and if your boss was lucky, you were rarely needed. Your work was the highest risk for the highest reward, the deadliest game.

Whenever you weren't needed, you had the biggest opportunity in the guild to live a normal life. If you kept your anonymity while on the job, you could leave the underworld behind you when you were not on the job.

 
Skill Proficiencies: You gain proficiency in Stealth and Intimidation.
Languages: You can speak, write, and sign in Thieves' Cant.
Equipment: A dark set of clothes (hooded), a mask given to you by your mentor, a hidden blade only discovered on a DC 25 Investigation Check, and a pouch containing 45 gp
 
Feature: Killer Reputation

Ordinary criminals and underworld dwellers give you a wide berth if they can, once they learn of your trade or, more importantly, who you studied under. When you interact with criminals or police while wearing your mask, you may use your Intimidation modifier in the place of Persuasion, Insight, or Investigation. Genuine fear has its own way of revealing information that would otherwise require more sophisticated methods.
