You are enrolled at the Elias College of Adventuring, a place where curiosity is explored. Anything tasked with adventuring, exploring, travel, etc. is studied here.

Feature: Survivalist's Camp

When setting up a camp, you may spend an hour to set up a perimeter alarm with mundane items around your site within 20ft of the center of it. A Tiny or larger creature that passes through this perimeter must make a Dexterity Save or set off audible sounds that could wake you and your allies. This perimeter can be detected with a Perception check equal to or higher than your DC and can be taken down without alerting the camp with a successful Sleight of Hands check equal to or greater than your DC. Once the perimeter is set off or taken down, it cannot be set off again until this feature is used again. The DC of this feature is 8 + your Survival skill.

In addition, you can almost always find food and fresh water for yourself and up to five other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water, and so forth.

 
Suggested Characteristics

Anyone who is curious about adventuring is encouraged to join the college. From handling wildlife to surviving nights on your own in the wilderness, the college accepts all.

Use the tables for the "outlander", "hermit", or "folk hero" backgrounds in the Player's Handbook as the basis for your traits and motivations, modifying the entries when appropriate to suit your identity as an adventurer of the College.
