Wildlands Tracker Image

Trained in the art of tracking prey, you have spent days upon days battling the elements of nature. Always keeping one eye on your prey while also keeping a close watch on surroundings. Surviving in the wild has become second nature to you and you have learned that one moment of carelessness can spell  disaster. In this time you have developed a bond with your natural surroundings. Whereas some people perceive beautiful chaos, you have learned to read the environment like a book. Even though your bond with nature is not as intense as the Druids, who seem to be in dialogue with the natural world, you have become more apt at picking up clues than you could have ever imagined. As long as you can rely on natural markers, you can hardly ever lose your sense of direction. And you can always be relied upon to gather that which nature has to offer. Although tracking is often a solitary business, you have experienced the depth of a bond that can quickly develop when a small group of people face the hardships the wild regions of the world can offer. Enduring has become part of your identity. Nonetheless, after a completed task, a successful hunt, a valley made safe, a child saved from the clutches of a werewolf or an unventured area explored, the joys of festivity are no stranger to you. In fact, a night of revelry is even more joyous if it is followed by departure during a quick sunrise, while the cool night air is still lingering, expelling the drink from your mind.

Tool Proficiencies: [tool]Woodcarver's Tools[tool]

Your years of living in the wilds has trained you in sculpting the tools you need from the raw materials you find in nature, most notably woodworking. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to manufacture your own arrows. Although the metal arrowheads are superior in balance and stability, creating a set of arrows created when nothing else but wood, rock and a few feathers are around, have proved a great asset in the wild.

Suggested Characteristics

As a tracker you have worked and lived in solitude for large stretches of time. Interactions with others have become somewhat unpolished, especially with those who don't understand your wanderlust and your call to nature. On the other hand, relations forged in the shared hardship of living off the land, or shared adventure, can grow more quickly than most people in urban society  are used to. Self-reliance and vigor are the most important characteristics in a traveling companion, niceties and boastfulness are greeted with suspicion.
