You've lived a simple life in the world of gambling. In your job, you run day to day games, cheating for the house whenever the opportunity seeks itself. Cheating isn't fun, but its a way to make a living. You've seen many a guest make it big, and secretly wished you could be the one walking away with a fortune. However, you've seen the other side of it. The addicts, who gamble their savings away and lose it all, as all their hard earned money disappears in front of their eyes with the hopes of making it big. You dont just work the games though, as the Casino wishes to keep employment as cheap as possible. You work as a bartender as well, though not a great one, just good enough to get them drunk enough to keep going. However, you've always aspired for something more. What if you DID make it big?
- Skill Proficiencies: As a Casino worker, you would be most likely proficient in Deception, Persuasion, Performance, Investigation, Insight, or Sleight of Hand.
- Tool Proficiencies: You would be very proficient in brewing tools due to your bartending, though you weren't too great at it, you would still have some knowledge. You would also be proficient in using all game sets, as you have plenty of experience with them.
- Languages: You would know your local language, but you would also know some Thieves Cant, due to your excess of interaction with the unsavory types in your line of work.
- Equipment: you would be fitted with some fine clothes, most likely an employee uniform, to keep the image of the casino good by wearing nicer clothes. You would also have every game set you wish to start with, but only 1 of each. That is up to you as the player to decide. your starting weapons would probably be lacking, except for a knife for self defense or to protect against thieves.
The House Always Wins
as a casino worker, you have become adept at fooling those who gamble with you. When someone is gambling with you, you can roll a D6 to pull a trick on them. the trick rolled is what you preform, and the person you are facing must succeed a saving throw to not be fooled.
