Doctors themselves tend to be a rarity. In a world filled with magical sutures and reinvigorating potions, those who practice the art of medicine are largely absent in large cities. But many, like yourself, also know of the need for inconspicuous treatment. Whether lacking in funds for a proper Cleric or wishing to not have questions asked, a good many of the common folk seek out unofficially-practicing doctors in their time of need.
- Skill Proficiencies: You are deft with your hands, as any medical professional should be. You are proficient in Medicine as well as Sleight of Hand
- Tool Proficiencies: Poisoner's Kit, Herbalism Kit
- Equipment: A set of empty vials, a syringe, a roll of bandages, medicinal elixir, medical suture & needles, and a set of various surgical items.
Pervasive rumors of "witch healers" and "plague doctors" play well into your favor. You have advantage on Intimidation checks against humanoids with an Intelligence score of 4 or greater, citing macabre descriptions of medical torture. This check automatically fails if the target is Undead or has no organs.
Suggested Characteristics
The motivations of a Back-Alley Doctor are as varied as the people themselves. Do you want to give aid to those who cannot afford it? Perhaps you practice medicine to further your own research into the mortal body? Work with your DM to create a riveting backstory.

Okay, I get why it's written that way, but I think, "This check automatically fails if the target is Undead or has no organs" is one of the funniest things I've seen from Dndbeyond Homebrew descriptions.
