Entrusted to quickly get heavy, fragile, and very much valuable things from A to B, a courier is well-acquainted in handling all manner of things carefully, as well as journeying long ways, across ice, aboard ships in stormy seas, and through hostile territories. Some only delivered small gifts and short letters, while others would often be tasked with protecting valuables that could attract thieves aplenty, some on foot, some on steed, some by carriage or other vehicle.

Thanks to use of trade routes in your work, you often know the quickest way, easiest way, and safest way between two settlements, and are probably known by most people in those places for your service. Though you may or may not be above rifling through private correspondence, some folk will gladly say what they suspect is in the package you handed to them, or written in the letter they took from your hand. Traders who without your services would barely if at all get to trade may even be willing to tell you of the happenings of trading, whether out of assumption you know as is, or as thanks for your reliable work.
