You are a Psi Knight of the Rondarron Empire. The Psi Knights are an experimental “special ops” unit utilizing powers of the mind to achieve their goals. The Psi Knights operate outside the military structure and answer to only themselves. It is a Psi Knight’s duty to carry out the morally grey tasks the formal government must remain separated from in the public eye.
You were recruited from a young age because you had a “gift”. You left (or were taken) from your family to train at a secret location, where you honed you're psychic abilities over several years. You are a master of subtlety, operating from the shadows and leaving no trace behind. Some Psi Knights suffer no side effects of their training, but many suffer from nightmares or other side effects from the mental strain. The worst can be driven to madness and must be eliminated.

Your mental abilities enable you to locate those individuals most malleable to your goals. These individuals find you unusually likable, like you’re an old friend, and will take your side whenever there is debate or disagreement. They will also react favorably to requests from you, provided fulfilling the request doesn’t create danger or hardship for themselves.

Rondarron Psi Knights are trained to follow orders without question. They believe they are acting in the best interests of the empire, without the constraints of having to operate without the law. They train for years in secret for years, separated from society. Once in the order, no one leaves.
