You have been murdered. But, luckily, you have been given a second chance. Now, you have risen from the dead, and you must do whatever you can to hunt down your killer, and eliminate him/her.
- Skill Proficiencies: Intimidation, Investigation, and one of your choice.
- Tool Proficiencies: Disguise kit.
- Languages: One of your choice.
- Equipment: A set of common clothes, a disguise kit, 5 gp, a bottle of poison, and a trinket of your choice.
You are able to automatically recognize your killer, no matter what they look like now, just by making eye contact.
Suggested Characteristics
Revenants are obsessed with hunting down their killer, and they are also dead serious. See what I did there? Revenants also have very little emotion, because they are DEAD inside. LOL. Did you trust your killer before he backstabbed you, or was he/she an enemy from the start? If so, you might have trust issues. Perhaps he/she was an infamous serial killer, who barged in and slaughtered you. If you have been BRUTALLY murdered, then you might have anger issues or sadistic. Maybe you plan to kill him/her using the same technics he/she used on you.

Posted May 28, 2022The background wasn't created properly. The skills & disguise kit don't show up in D&D Beyond character sheets. There might be other problems (e.g., with starting equipment), don't know.
