Pirate Captain Image

You are/were the captain of a crew of pirates.  You have fought many a battle, found priceless treasure, and bested the beasts of the sea, law men, and other pirates. You gained enough respect from your crew to be promoted from captain, and have been acknowledged by many as a fearsome captain. You have braved some of the fiercest storms, and lived to tell the tail. Bloodshed and the pursuit of treasure are no strangers to you, and you've gained an unsavory reputation in many a port town and across the high seas.

Skill Proficiencies: Acrobatics, intimidation
Tool Proficiencies: Navigator's tools, vehicles (water)
Equipment: Scimitar OR Rapier, Flintlock Rifle OR Flintlock Pistol OR Hand Crossbow OR Light Crossbow OR Shortbow, Ammunition, Diary, Pirate Clothes

Captains respect

As a current/former pirate captain, you posses a commanding presence, one that demands respect.  Those who arent openly opposed to you, such as the law or enemies, or arent a leader them self, tend to fall in step with your direction, following your decision on a matter, and carrying out your orders, and often falling back to your lead if they arent sure what to do.

This is not to say that you're able to control anyone who's not opposed to you.

But simply that your presence imposes an air of superiority or dominance, making you one that is easy to follow in uncertain situations or events.

Feature: Bad reputation

No matter where you go, people are afraid of you due to your reputation. When you are in a civilized settlement, you can get away with minor criminal offenses, such as refusing to pay for food at a tavern or breaking down doors at a local shop, since most people will not report your activity to the authorities.  However, your infamy can also attract unwanted attention sometimes, especially from authorities who might want to see you pay for your past misdeeds.

Suggested Characteristics

Most pirates are unsavory figures of questionable moral character, although many pirates have a moral code of their own, even though it may be different from the one the average member of polite society adheres to.  Flaws may be overconfidence or a nagging, guilty conscience over your bad deeds.
