Tribal Shaman Image

Raised in a small isolated tribe, you where trained in the ancient rites of your people.  Trained to cure wounds, utilize the local plant life to make poisons and tinctures, and commune with the ancestor spirits.  Raised to be the spiritual leader of your tribe, a guiding force, a speaker for the spirits.  You have learned that the more structured religions lack the closeness that you have with your ancestors. 

 
Skill Proficiencies: Medicine, Nature.
Tool Proficiencies: Herbalism kit, Poisoners kit.
Languages: One of your choice.
Equipment: A totem of your tribe or a pouch of trinkets specific to your tribe, A winter blanket, a set of common clothes, an Herbalism kit, A poisoners kit, and 5 gp.
 
Feature: Ancestors Guidance

You have learned various shamanic rituals that allow you to communicate with the ancestors of your tribe.  Once per day you can commune with these spirits by using your totem or trinket bag.  Make a Wisdom check, and depending on the roll your DM will tell you something about the situation. (Example: you might feel trepidation if the prediction is bad, or a gentle soothing breeze if the prediction is favorable.) Work with your DM to determine what you can determine with this feature.

 
Suggested Characteristics

Use a combination of the Acolyte, Hermit, and Outsider backgrounds. Whatever ones make the most sense to your back story.
