You and your family have fled from your home country, seeking refuge in another land. The political attitudes are fickle and whenever people you meet find out you are a refugee they will most likely have one of two attitudes. Those who empathize with your plight will support you as much as they are able with things like handouts, a hot meal, a place to stay for a few days, and the like. The others are of the opinion that refugees like you are everything that is wrong with the nation and will be one level more hostile toward you than they otherwise would. These folks blame you for the increase in crime, the lack of work for natural born citizens, and the despoiling of honest local women and men.
- Skill Proficiencies: You have spent a lot of time on the road and in the gutters of society. Here you either learn how to get by, or die. Passed down from your elders or learned from other traveling folk, you have mastered the skills Survival and Medicine.

Due to the way that normal folks treat you once they discover your refugee status, you can leverage this goodwill to find work. Care must be taken, however, as divulging your history will have an equal chance to provoke. Citizens provoked will go out of their way to hassle you and even go so far as to call the authorities under false pretense.
