
You have trained with the war masters of the Vilnius Military Academy in the NNR to learn both strategy and tactics, at the small squad level as well as the movements of battalions and regiments. You have become a natural leader of warriors.
- Skill Proficiencies: History, Insight, and Perception.
- Tool Proficiencies: One of your choice.
- Languages: Common and two of your choice.
- Equipment: A set of traveling clothes, and a belt pouch containing 200gp worth of mixed coins. You also get a melee weapon of your choice, decorated with the Vilnius Military Academy crest. It is considered a +1 magic weapon.
War Masters. Everyone other than Battle Master Fighters gains the Martial Adept feat for free. Fighters also gain the Martial Adept feat at 1st level, and it functions as written unless they select Battle Master as their Martial Archetype at 3rd level. In that case, they keep the additional two maneuvers from the feat, and the extra superiority die from the feat becomes a d8 to match their other superiority dice. They also replace the Improved Combat Superiority class feature with the one below.
Improved Combat Superiority. At 8th level, your superiority dice turn into d10s. At 13th level, they turn into d12s. At 18th level, they turn into d20s.
Superior Tactics. Everyone trained by the Vilnius Nastavnik gains superior military tactical knowledge. As a bonus action, you may bark an order at an ally within 60 feet. Once that ally benefits from one of your orders, they cannot benefit again until they finish a long or short rest. When you bark an order, choose one of the following:
Evasive Maneuvers! If the ordered ally takes the Dodge action during their next turn, they gain a +4 bonus to their AC until the start of your next turn.
Get the Lead Out! On their next turn, the ordered ally may make an additional Move.
Take That One Down! Choose a creature you can see. If the next attack the ordered ally makes targets that creature, they have advantage.
