You have been going to this camp for a while and have shown enough promise that you are among the counseling staff. You aren't the head counselor for your godly parent's cabin, but you still undertake some responsibilities around camp and generally are around for any campers in need. If you are nearby, then you are generally tasked with jobs such as taking wounded to the infirmary, running border patrols, assisting in instruction during activities, and fetching Mr. D another diet Coke.
- Skill Proficiencies: Select three from Survival, Religion, Nature, Perception, and Insight.
- Tool Proficiencies: A gaming set of your choice.
- Languages: Ancient Greek
- Equipment: A chest, a clipboard, a scroll case, 5 sheets of parchment, a quill, ink, a holy symbol of your godly parent, insect repellant, a flashlight (lamp), a lock, a signal whistle, soap, a water bottle (waterskin), and a small prism.
As a junior counselor, you need to be able to communicate with the heads of staff in case of dire emergencies. Thus you have been outfitted with a small prism with which to create rainbows, allowing you to send Iris messages to other counselors, Chiron, and Mr. D. While Iris messages can generally reach any named individual, you know of a cloud nymph that provides a guaranteed direct connection to a staffed individual at camp. Using the prism, you can summon this direct connection by saying 'Oh Nephele, you're a champ, please direct call to camp.'
Suggested Characteristics
Usually, those campers that become counselors are good at taking on responsibility or at the very least feel they have something to prove. Whether that is to themselves or their godly parents is up for debate. They are in a position of authority over the other campers but still beholden to their cabin's head counselor. They may agree or disagree with their head counselor's methods, affecting their own popularity with campers.
