As you try to hide your true form in public by transforming into humanoid form, a beast is still inside you, pulling you towards many awkward moments, maybe you accidentally eat someone's livestock, or not know how normal behavior looks like, maybe even getting into jail.
When you get mad, smell blood or find something shiny, you cant control yourself and turn into your lycanthropic form, not in a frenzy bloodlust but in an uncontrolable way, and you cant change back for 1 hour.
