You are not from this world, but you are familiar with it, after all, you and your friends have spent countless hours playing it. Somehow you have been pulled from your home world into the world of Dungeons and Dragons. Because you belong to a world that is not their own, the people of this world refer to you as a Beyonder, and apparently, this has happened before.

(Some of this was inspired by Helmlord5792’s “Reluctant Multiverse Traveler”)

Feature: Vision of the Beyond

When you were pulled into this world you glimpsed knowledge of the future, past or present that you do not understand. Occasionally this knowledge will appear in dreams as a blurry or, if you’re lucky, vivid vision. The DM may give you a vision in any circumstance where you are unconscious. This vision may be knowledge of a near or distant future or enlightenment on a current mystery. Additionally you gain a minor madness from the list below.

Minor Madness

1. You tend to space out, staring at something only you can see.

2. When not focusing on it, you gain a twitch in your hands or you vigorously tap your foot.

3. You mutter underneath your breath every now and then, and when asked about it, you do not know what you were saying.

4. You feel as if someone is always watching you.

Suggested Characteristics

Belonging to another world, you and your personality may seem odd to many, but not to you.

d8 Personality Trait
1 I am constantly confused by this world's natural laws and culture. At this point, I am just so tired of it.

d6 Ideal
1 Logic. I know that everything can be explained scientifically. Even the most illogical occurrences can be rationalized with enough time and research. (Lawful)
2 Fate. I know I was sent here for a reason. I am meant to help this world and save it from some threat. (Good)
3 Entropy. I have seen it, everything will end eventually. Everything I do will mean nothing in the end. (Chaotic)
4 Opportunity. Due to my... situation, I am in the perfect position to start a new life in this world. A life where I have control, where I have power. (Evil)
5 Luck. It is through luck that I have survived this long but it is also through luck that I am in this mess to begin with. Whether good or bad, luck is the one constant in the multiverse. (Neutral)
