Blighted Heretic Image

For one reason or another, the religious community you spend your time with has set their sights on you and labeled you as a heretic. Perhaps you failed to observe certain religious days or ceremonies, or perhaps you were framed as such by the leader of your religion (or another similarly high-ranked figure). Maybe, you never believed at all and only acted as though you did to avoid any conflict, and your disbelief has only been unearthed now.

Regardless of the reason, your offenses are worthy of punishment. You have been cast out of the community, never to return again. But, this is only the beginning. Depending on whether the god/goddess you offended is good or evil, your curse may be nothing more than a lost home, or one so great you can hardly handle the weight of it.

With your home now lost, your only choice left is to wander.

Skill Proficiencies: Religion and choose any skill from Arcana, History, Insight, Investigation, Nature, Perception, or Survival.
Languages: You may learn one common and one exotic language of your choices.
Equipment: While you left with little, you took what you could carry: a walking stick, your life savings, and a single memento.

Feature: Awareness of the Cursed

Despite the limitations of your curse, you have developed a greater knowledge of domains of the gods. Depending on your curse and who may have delivered it to you, you may have greater awareness and understanding of the planes outside of the one you currently reside in, increased knowledge in regards celestial, fiends, and undead, a keener sense of intuition when it comes to the affairs of the gods, etc.
