You grew up in the wilds, far from civilization as a member the Gatherer caste of goblins within the Cragmaw tribe. Goblins occupy an uneasy place in a dangerous world, and the lower castes must scrape before those of greater status even as the goblin tribe bows before stronger goblinoids. Gatherers, and the pariahs beneath them, greatly fear for their lives in battle, believing that the lashers and the hunters have special knowledge of how to survive. It is the members of the lower castes that give goblins their reputation for cowardice.
- Skill Proficiencies: Nature, Survival
- Equipment: A net, a pointy stick, a trophy from an animal you harvested or prepared, a Cook's Utensils, and tattered rags for clothing
Feature: Wanderer
You have an excellent memory for geography, and you can always recall the general layout of terrain, settlements, and other features around you. In addition, you can find food and fresh water for yourself and up to five other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water, and so forth.
Suggested Characteristics
Often considered cowardly and expendable by the upper castes within the tribe, gatherers typically have a short lifespan and little hope for a better life. The needs of the tribe and the dictates of the tribal leaders are the only things that matter to a gatherer.
