Deity's Favorite Child

You are the child or offspring of a God or Goddess and their partner, mortal or immortal as well. A favorite amongst your deity parent's children, you were raised by your deity parent amongst the pantheon, helping with their duties and playing messenger. For some this may be an exciting life full of chaos and hedonism, especially if you love your parent. For others, the decree by your parent to live with them was an unwanted burden and prevents them from pursuing their own chosen fates. Regardless, you enjoy privilege and access to the other deities of the pantheon, as well as their children, and you have a varied amount of relationships. 

You have some of the inherited magical elements of your parent, with negotiation with your DM on restrictions and mechanics. This may include shapeshifting, flight or levitation, invisibility, etc. 

Skill Proficiencies: You are proficient in Religion, History, and Arcana. You have lived with the Gods, know everything about them, and have gleaned insight into their history and their magic. You may also choose an additional proficiency that aligns with your Godly parent's realm of power, i.e. Nature, Survival, Deception, Animal Handling, etc.

Tool Proficiencies: You are proficient in a tool which aligns with your Godly parent's realm of power. 

Languages: You know 3 languages, including Celestial or Infernal depending on your Godly Parent's Pantheon.

Equipment: You have been gifted an Explorer's Pack by your parents. Additionally, you have a magical weapon gifted to you by your Godly parent. You also are clothed in very fine noble clothing, and own an enchanted miniature crystal orb through which you may speak with your parent.

These may vary depending on the specific Pantheon you reside in, and your Godly parent, but some examples include:

• I idolize my Godly parents and constantly refer to their deeds as an example for my own, even if to others they are malevolent or evil. 
• I have enjoyed the fine food, drink, and high society of the Godly realm that living amongst Mortals is impossible for me to bear. 
• I would much rather live with my other parent, and am simply abiding my time while I figure out how to achieve that. 
• My Godly parent is controlling and fickle, and I fear retribution if I do not do what they wish in order to stay their favorite. 
• Many previous children have been their favorite before me and I fear ending up in their situation. 
• My Godly parent is loving and benevolent, but I'm going through a rebellious phase to test their limits. 
• My Godly parent is well-meaning but I do not always trust their judgment. I've been coordinating with other Gods to limit their power. 
• I simply want to do the best with the privilege I've been given by my Godly parent; I want to follow in their footsteps in the good they do.
