You have been trained by the void navy of Admiral Smollet for deployment in both the void and on a variety of terrestial worlds. Your sorties from swooping void ships evokes dread in void pirates and other foes of Admiralty. The Void is your second home, and your battle cries ring out among the stars.

Skill Proficiencies: Athletics, Survival
Tool Proficiencies: Vehicles (air/sea), One set of artisan's tools or gambling set
Equipment: A truncheon/belaying pin (a club), a uniform vest with the symbol of the Admiralty, a set of traveler’s clothes, and a belt pouch containing 10 gp

You can sail a vessel twice the normal amount of time (up to 16 hours) each day before being subject to the effect of a forced march (see "Travel Pace"  in chapter 8 of the Player's Handbook). Additionally, a Void Marine that is subjected to any environmental effect in that would give you the paralyzed condition is instead slowed (as per the 3rd level spell).

Suggested Characteristics

Void Marines are an effective, if occasionally unruly lot, looked up to by other soldiers and whose rough edges are tolerated by their superiors due to their battle skills. They are veteran warriors who rarely lose composure on the battlefield. Void Marines who leave the service tend to work as mercenaries, but their combat experience also makes them excellent adventurers. Though they are self-reliant, Void Marines tend to operate best in groups, valuing camaraderie and the companionship of like-minded individuals.
