While you had a fairly mundane childhood, you spent your young adulthood drifting aimlessly. Your life lacked direction. You'd spend time in towns (and particularly at taverns) when you came across them, but most of your time was spent on the road and in nature. Maybe you even had a group of fellow wanderers that kept you company. Either way, you were footloose and fancy-free.
- Skill Proficiencies: Animal Handling, Survival, Nature
- Tool Proficiencies: One type of artisan’s tools, one type of gaming set or musical instrument, herbalism, vehicles (land)
- Languages: You can speak one additional language that you picked up during your travels.
Feature: Right At Home
You are at peace in nature and nature is at peace with you. You have an advantage on foraging checks for yourself and up to three other party members. You can make friends anywhere, and people from all over feel comfortable around you, making it easy to fit in wherever you go. Also, when traveling you can roll a d20 to see if you've been here before. The DM gets to set the DC, and if you beat it you know the area and have an advantage on checks pertaining to it.
Suggested Characteristics
Some people would say that you lacked direction, but you know that you just hadn't found it yet. You learned a lot and made a lot of great memories, and it eventually led you to your destiny. So what if you didn't have any goals or ambitions? That doesn't mean that the time you spent wandering didn't have meaning to you, and you wouldn't trade your experiences for the world.
