Within the wooden cities of Thetonia, the brilliant inventors and arcanists known as clockwork tinkerers are lauded as heroes. You are lucky enough to be able to count yourself among these heroes. Perhaps you were taught by one of the famous master tinkerers, or maybe you picked things up on your own? Whatever the case is, your intellect, cleverness and creativity far surpasses that of common folk.
It is said that in ages past, before the clans of Thetonia united under one banner, the first of the clockwork tinkerers were taught their trade by a group of otherworldly visitors; strange mechanical creatures known as modrons. Claiming to hail from a plane of existence known as Mechanus, they divulged their secrets in exchange for a favor. Though the modrons gave no hints as to what this favor would entail, the thetonians nevertheless accepted the offer. Though this is little more than a myth or folktale in the present, many clockwork tinkerers still dream about one day reaching Mechanus to master their trade with the help of the modrons themselves.

The tinkerers and inventors of Thetonia are resourceful and ingenious craftsmen, who know how to create marvelous contraptions with even the shoddiest of materials. Whenever you craft an item, at the DM’s discretion, you can reduce the material cost of the process by 1/3, but must spend twice the amount of time.
