You like to fight. Or maybe you don't... but like it or not, you're really good at it. Maybe you've worked as a bouncer, a town watchman, or even a pit fighter! Whatever your profession, you've spent your days fighting -- in alleyways and shadowy regions of the city, or in tavern brawls. Living a life of blood and violence amongst the warrens and back alleys of civilization has made you tough. You feel at home leading with your fists, and you crave the adrenaline rush that only comes from physical combat.
You have no qualms about dishing out violence. Whether you do it for the money, or you do it to protect others, or you do it for the sheer joy of fighting - however, you've come to realize that there is more to life than just fighting. At the very least, you recognize that you can't do this forever before your body ceases to function meaningfully. So now you want - no, now you need something else. You're looking for way out, or you're on the run, or you want something better. Or maybe you're looking for penance. Either way, adventuring seems like it might be a way to win yourself a new life.

You have also picked up a language from one of the most prominent group of patrons at a previous job.
- Equipment: You've saved what you can, and have a few weapons and a bit of coin. Despite your great strength, you prefer to travel light whenever possible.

You have a knack for sizing up your individual opponents and determining when someone is about to start trouble. You gain advantage on Insight (Wisdom) checks and Perception (Wisdom) checks when checking someone for hidden weapons or determining if someone is about get violent or start trouble.
In addition, your brawling experience may gain you a reputation amongst other fighting types - professional warriors, soldiers, and mercenaries. Depending on whether they regard your reputation as positive or negative, these people may listen to your words with more weight, and if you're in trouble, they may offer you food, shelter or other assistance.

No one can experience a life of violence and brutality and not have their personality shaped by it, for better or for worse. This doesn't mean that you can't be kind or polite, but you are nearly always ready to fight.
