All things living, undead, and sentient or a target of your research and studies. From creatures as friendly and simple as a wild rabbit, to the dangerous and elusive creatures of myth and bad omens, all can be recorded and studied. Your knowledge and understanding of them gives you an advantage with finding, fighting, or avoiding such creature. The more familiar you are with the creature, the easier it will be to collect parts of them to use in alchemy or other crafts. …perhaps even serving them up as your next party meal. You are also skilled at visually recording them with painter sets.
- Skill Proficiencies: you are proficient in two of the following: animal handling, nature, or survival
- Tool Proficiencies: You have proficiency in either alchemist’s supplies, painters supplies, or leatherworker’s tools.
- Equipment: A thick book for recording your findings, two charcoal sticks or a charcoal pencil, two bottles of ink (black), a quill, a fox-hair brush, and a map of the continent.
When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of lore, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, scriptorium, university, or a sage or other learned person or creature. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found. Unearthing the deepest secrets of the multiverse can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.
