The face you wear now is just one of many. You have trained yourself or have been trained to go anywhere as anyone. Some use these skills to have fun among some people they would normally not be allowed around. Others use them to learn secrets and sell them to anyone who wants them. The one thing all these people have in common is their ability to pass them selves of as someone they are not.
- Skill Proficiencies: Deception, Persuasion
- Tool Proficiencies: Disguise kit, or any other tool
- Languages:
One of your choice
- Equipment: Papers used to pass yourself off as your persona, a set of fine clothing, a set of common clothing and a pouch containing 20 gold
You have one established persona, for which you have papers, a disguise, contacts and backstory at the ready. If you have this ability due to another feat (like the changeling race), you gain another persona. This persona might be a local worker who has contacts with the commoners, a merchant who has contacts with other merchants or a lowlife with criminal contacts. This persona is best made in cooperation with your DM.
Suggested Characteristics
Infiltrators have very different reasons to do what they do. Do you want to escape your own life? Do you wish for the power of someone else?
How you did it, even you aren't sure. But you have taken the place of someone else. This person died or disappeared and you saw your chance. Some people killed the person themselves with this plan in mind, others were with them when they died and took the opportunity.
The person you took the place from might have been someone powerful, before you took this place you did your research. You know everything about this person, except for it's deepest secrets. You have gained their papers, clothing and anything needed to pass yourself of. Of course you're still at risk, you might be found out, but until then you have a great life.
This persona doesn't act very differently than the one offered by 'Many Faces', however this feature has extra risk with it. So for this the DM might allow for a bit more wealthier or influential persona than the one in 'Many Faces'.
