You have spent time under the employment or studied within the halls of Whiteduff, an honoured and astute locale; primarily focused on termination of corruption and banishing Evil. You scoured manuscripts, studied scrolls, and spoke to hunters and experts on creatures that interest you. Your efforts have made you a known-name in your chosen fields of dismantlement.
- Skill Proficiencies: Choose any two from: Arcana, History, Nature or Religion
- Languages: One additional language of your choice
- Equipment: A bottle of black ink, a quill, a small knife, an esteemed letter of confirmation of your specific school of study at Whiteduff, a set of travellers clothes
To determine the specific study of creature-type you have enrolled in, roll a d8 or choose from the options in the table below.
| d8 | Creature Classification |
|---|---|
| 1 | Abberation |
| 2 | Dragon |
| 3 | Elemental |
| 4 | Fey |
| 5 | Fiend |
| 6 | Undead |
| 7 | Monstrosity |
| 8 | Humanoid (Any Race) |
Once you have chosen a specific type of creature to focus on, you understand their behavioural patterns and how to take advantage their flaws and weaknesses. You may add your proficiency bonus to any Survival check made in an attempt to track your chosen type of creature of study.
Additionally,
You may use a bonus action once per long-rest to focus on your training and give any creature of your chosen study vulnerability to one form of damage from yourself until the end of your next turn. This vulnerability is disabled after the target recieves one attack recieved by any source, and if it has resistance from a damage type it is just nullified until it recieves the damage.
Suggested Characteristics
Sapient's are defined by their extensive studies, trinkets and trophies from their previous banishments, and their characteristics reflect this life of study and action. Sapient's that are devoted to banishing their chosen type tend to be sly and cunning in preperation, but only target those entites deemed distasteful or morally injust.
