There, Slaves, convicts, and even free citizens fight to the death for the entertainment of the populace. The ultimate goal of the slaves or the convicts is to gain enough public support to be granted their freedom. The free citizens that partake of the games do so to earn wealth and fame. The gladiators fight using time-honored styles, each a unique mix of weapons and armor. The styles face off against each other often, though it is rare for gladiators of the same style to contend against each other.
