Whether you sought them out purposefully, were sold/given to them, or saved by them, you have dedicated your life to training with and assisting your knight. You spent a considerable amount of time living in their footsteps, learning all they could impart upon you. Your relationship with them may have been an overall enjoyable experience, or the worst period of your life, but you nonetheless persevered through it all. Roll a d4 to determine why you are no longer in their servitude, or pick which option is best for you:

1. They have retired to enjoy their twilight years in peace, deciding the time was right for you to travel alone
2. They died before achieving their ultimate goal, leaving you to champion their cause
3. They have gone missing, and you search for answers as to why
4. They betrayed you and the order, and you have sworn to bring them to justice

Skill Proficiencies: Choose two from the following: Animal Handling, Athletics, History, Insight, Medicine, or Survival.

Tool Proficiencies: Vehicles (Land) and one of the following: Carpenter's tools, cobbler's tools, cook's utensils, or leatherworker's tools.

Equipment: A simple weapon worn from your time in training, a set of common clothes bearing the symbol of your knight's order, a set of artisan's tools of your choice, and a coin purse containing 10gp.
