Performance Specialty

You specialize in two ways to help enhance a performance. Choose or roll to define your two specialties from the table below.

d6 Performance Specialty
1 Escape. You have a +3 on checks against being grappled, picking locks, and tying or untying knots.
2 Hide. You have a +3 on stealth checks to hide yourself and slight of hand checks to conceal or move small and tiny objects.
3 Assist. You know how to enhance a performance. Twice per Short Rest you can use the Help action as a bonus action.
4 Observe. You’ve studied people, learning to gage if they will believe and enjoy an act. You have a +3 on Insight checks.
5 Draw Attention. Your mere presence is a distraction. Others have advantage on deception, performance, persuasion, and slight of hand checks when you draw attention to yourself.
6 Practical Magic. You’ve learned simple utility spells to aid your performances. Three times per long rest you can cast the Prestidigitation, Mending, or Thamaturgy cantrip.
 
Feature: Quick Change Artist

You are able to change clothing, apply makeup, or disguise yourself very quickly and very well. If your GM requires a roll for this, roll at advantage.

As a magician’s assistant you strive to make every performance great. Maybe you are less confident off stage than you are on it. Perhaps you’re ambitious and aim to be a magician instead of a mere assistant. You are probably creative, a quick thinker, and a fast mover.
