Lazer Beamer

Ever since the Spectrum formed, certain enterprising citizens have been finding ways to develop their own bootleg Neon; creating their own centrifuges that use less than perfect Noxite in their processes. Noxite’s narcotic properties soon became public knowledge, and production of Lazer became an equally lucrative venture to undertake. Due to the volatile nature of working with Noxite, especially during the process of Neonoxite production, it is necessary for a Lazer Beamer to possess a vast skill set spanning chemistry, risk assessment and negotiation. Lazer is a tricky market, and can lead to catastrophic destruction at the hands of lit up Lazerveins if handled carelessly.

Your life as a Lazer Beamer may have been one you did not choose, being forced into it out of desperation. Perhaps you deliberately entered this line of work instead, seeing the potential for success outside of Spectrum influence. Maybe you were once part of a Lazervein gang running their own centrifuge, and after some unfortunate incident, you came to head production yourself. Ultimately, the question of ‘how?’ isn’t nearly as important as the question of ‘what’s next?’. Even though the threat of the law is ever looming, there is money to be made, and who besides you would ever be able to satisfy this market?

Suggested Characteristics

Lazer Beamers deal away from the prying eyes of the law and are always on the lookout for allies of similar repute. They survive by finding ways to work around authority and their suffocating rules. Some work as street chemists, taking the materials available to them and transforming them into commodities. Others pose as legitimate business people, fronting for a larger centrifuge. They are resourceful, crafty and don’t play by anyone’s rules other than their own.
