KNIGHT OF THE ORDER
The knight of the order belongs to an order of knights who have sworn to achieve a certain goal.
The nature of this objective depends on the order the knight serves, but, from his point of view, it is undoubtedly an essential and honorable undertaking. Faerùn hosts a wide range of knightly orders, all sharing a similar attitude towards their actions and responsibilities. Although the term "knight" evokes the image of fighters of noble blood mounted on a steed and protected by heavy armor, many orders of Faerun do not accept only those figures in their ranks.
The objectives and philosophies of the order are more important than the equipment and fighting style of its members, so these orders do not just accept the figures of fighters, but welcome all kinds of individuals willing to fight and die for the cause. of the order.
The box "Knightly Orders of Faerùn" describes in detail some orders currently active and is designed to help the player decide which group will benefit from his affiliation.

The knight of the order receives shelter and relief from members of his chivalric order and those who support his goals. If it is a religious order, the knight of the order can get help from the temples and other religious communities of his deity. Knights of civic orders can get support from the community they serve (be it a single settlement or a large nation) and knights of philosophical orders can get help from those whose ideals they have supported or those who share them.
This help comes in the form of shelter, meals and healing as appropriate, but occasionally also in the form of more risky assistance, for example in a band of local citizens who come together to support a knight in serious distress during a fight or who he arranges to sneak him out of the city when he is unjustly hunted.
