You are someone who had dedicated their lives to, "the preservation of history," and the, "protection of priceless artifacts," and definitely not stealing the relics of ancient or slightly less ancient civilizations like that dastardly adventurer Indianus of House Jones. DEFINITELY not...

Skill Proficiencies: From your 100% legal and not at all illegitimate knowledge, you gain proficiency in the History skill. When using this skill  to determine the history or abilities of an artifact, you may double your proficiency bonus. However, being that your skills are definitely 100% infallible, if  you roll a three or lower on this check, you get the completely wrong description of the object or historical situation and are convinced you are correct regardless of other successful checks made by other PCs or NPCs unless the abilities of the object are shown to differ.
Tool Proficiencies: You may gain two proficiencies in Thieves Tools, Cartography Tools, or Disguise Kit.

Feature: Almost Know Ancient Text

When encountered with language written on a surface within a dungeon or similar environment, roll a D20. On a 1-5 you are convinced of the wrong translation. On a 6-10, you have no idea of the translation. On an 11-16, you get the gist of the translation. Finally, on a 16-20, you know the exact translation of the text. Your DM may decide if this applies for an entire room or area of a dungeon or if it only is applied for a single reading.
