Raised from an early age to be in tune and in harmony with nature in a small village of firbolgs and giants. Early on a strange spirit of nature finds and befriends you. It takes you on a small adventures outside the village where you learn and grow together. It encourages and brings out an innate ability of yours which you use to defend yourself on many occasions. On one such adventures you travel farther than before pushing your comfort zone and upon returning you find your destroyed home village. The dead were strewn along the ground and more than half the buildings still burned or were burned to the ground. You never really forgave yourself for not being there. Could you have defended the helpless village or would it be better to have gone with them back to the mud and not be so alone.
From your extensive overland travels you don't ever seem to get lost. Some sense always points your way.
You can sniff out food and fresh water. Enough to feed you and another.
