Alone on a deserted island, wandering a strange forest, or in an eerie laboratory surrounded by magical equipment, you have no recollection of who you are, how you got here, or what happened to you before the awakening. You know how to speak, how to survive, and you have a number of highly specialized skills, but besides that, you are a blank slate. You must face the world without help and decide or discover who you are.

Those with unknown origins may have a variety of different responses to their circumstances, ranging from childlike innocence and curiosity, to bitter depression and grief. Some may find it easy to form new bonds and relationships, while others isolate themselves or exploit every opportunity to unlock the mystery of their existence. However they feel, their true nature will always assert itself, one way or another.
