
Your training was in was preparing the recently-deceased for burial or cremation and making arrangements for funerals. As a member of one of the oldest professions, you will have no problem finding work, for death is ever present.
You might have a medical curiosity with the dead, or tend to prefer being alone or being around bodies to being around other people, but whatever your interest, you have never been squeamish around corpses, unlike most people.
Variant: Gravekeeper
You specialize in the digging of graves and are as comfortable with a shovel as you are with your favorite weapon or cantrips. People tend to think you are strange, but you are at least respected as an invaluable member of your community.

Dig. You gain a Burrow Speed of 5 ft. until the beginning of your next turn while holding a shovel with two hands and if you use an Action to Dig. If you already have a burrow speed, it increases by 5 ft. instead. This burrow speed cannot be increased by using more actions in a turn, such as with Action Surge.
As an integral member of the community you can always get service and find a table or booth at a restaurant or bar, or a seat in church, but other people will generally try to sit as far away from you as possible.
Suggested Characteristics
Those who deal with the dead must possess a certain level of respect and quietude. Often these are introverts who feel more comfortable in the silence of their work, but that is not always the case. Above all, you must have a strong stomach and an ability to spin the worst of things into the best of lights - or toward the most profit. It is not uncommon for those in your profession to develop unhealthy habits, however.
