Ever since you were a young child, you had grown up in a town of witches, elves and elves of all kinds, but you were a different race, so you didn't have many friends since people thought you were weird. When your orphanage owner admitted you into a middle school for witches who want to learn ancient magic that humans have long since forgotten, she taught you a bit of illusion magic to disguise yourself as a normal elf outside. When you went in, one of your only friends found you and brought you to the principal's office, and she gave you your schedule, locker keys, dorm keys, and a student ID. She also told you she'd give you a black tie on your behalf(The school has a small ranking system, white being the lowest, black being one above white, purple is a rare elf, blue is some sort of noble elf, and red is a god tier tie, and it hasn't been given out in ages)and for you to keep your different race identity to yourself and your friends, and only to talk about it outside of school. The principal gave you a dorm with your friend from earlier, so you often talked to them.

The first few weeks were just studying ancient books and scrolls, but after that you could actually cast spells. You were given a practice room in your dorm, and every day before class you'd refresh your illusion spell. A few days after you were nearly found out, but your friend quickly got someone to save you. But you were an honest child and hated lying to everyone, so you avoided talking as much as you could and acted like you were constantly studying in private areas, but you were really hiding from everyone to try and make sure no one hated you when they realized you were lying. You had straight A's from this though, and graduated from middle school and high school with ease. After mastering spells in college, you set out from your home to find your birth parents..

Note that elves can't pick this, but half-elves can. Half-elves never had to use the illusion spell when your writing your backstory.

Also note you have to be a class where spell casting is your weapon.

Skill Proficiencies: Choose 2 - Deception, Insight, Investigation, Medicine, Persuasion, Performance(Also advantage if you use a charming spell on the crowd watching), Sleight of Hand, Survival.

Tool Proficiencies: Choose 2 - Carpenter's Tools, Herbalism Kit, Leatherworker's Tools, Painter's Supplies, Weaver's Tools, Woodcarver's Tools.

Languages: Elvish because you grew up around elves, and one language of your choice.
