Be it the blood line of your family or parents, or a sad state of unfortunate magic brought on your by a terrible wizard, you have been gifted with the amazing size and stature of a Firbolg. Perhaps your parents were a strange mix of Elf and Firbolg, and you just happened to get the oddball height, or maybe a polymorph from a long lost friend has gone completely awry. Whatever your state, you have been left standing tall and above most others, and you definitely turn heads in a crowd.
Some will see you as a monstrosity. Far to tall, and misshapen. Nothing more than a fluke. Others will look at you with marvel and mystery, and adore you as a gentle giant. Others may fear you and your might, and would want to be the last person caught in your crossfire. Whatever their visual of you, a being your size will always draw the eye, and it shall all be thanks to the good genes of the Firbolg.
- Skill Proficiencies: Two of your choice. Athletics, Insight, Perception, Arcana, History, or Intimidation
- Tool Proficiencies: One of your choice. Carpenter's tools, Leatherworker's tools, Potter's tools
- Languages: Giant
- Equipment: A large journal, a set of common clothes, a belt, a large backpack, and a pouch containing 15 gp.
Your genetic gift gives you a few enhancements to keep eye over on your journeys. You are 2-3 feet taller than your initial height, and are 150-200 pounds heavier than your initial weight. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
Suggested Characteristics
You are treated as being completely different from most people, regardless of how much you fit in socially. You are often treated to be obviously outstanding, and at times, others may be hostile towards you, even if you do not intent to pose a threat. Consider your upbringing and the people you were raised around. Were you among family and friends most of your life, or were you hidden or kept at bay from the world to avoid confrontation? Are you comfortable with yourself as you are, or do you prefer to keep others noses out of your personal life? Most born or given the Firbolg Lineage tend to sway in one direction or the other, and rarely experience both.
