Forest Folk Image

The Forest Folk dwell deep in the heart of the woods scattered around the land, making a living of the nature and animals in small tribes and enclaves. They attempt to connect to nature and the forests around them, hoping to gain visions or signs from the gods. They build there homes in tress and on the undergrowth, searching for food and sustenance.

Feature: Helping Hand

The masses rarely leave the comfort of the forest, but still are interested in trading with the "civilised" races. So they send teams of highly trained Druids and that sort to the towns and cities, to collect infomation and items that may hold significance to the people. If you stayed on good terms with the tribe you can call upon these people for infomation and messages to send to others.

Suggested Characteristics

As a people with the title Forest Folk you are known to be "uncivilised" in largely populated areas and often considered rude and disgusting compared to the knights and nobles of the palaces and castles. But you don't care what others think as long as you and your tribe know what type of person you are, nothing can stop you.

Variant Forest folk: Lone wolf

Instead of large tribes located in the woods, you have made a life for yourself along, hoping that the gods will have a more likely chance to contact you. You may have a small hut located next to a lake or a treehouse deep in the jungle. Wherever you dwell, you dwell alone with the exception of a few woodland animals.

Variant Feature: Calling of the wild ones

If you choose the lone wolf variant, you may want the variant feature aswell to better suit your character. Thanks to your connection with the gods from your secluded life, you have the ability to conjure fey spirits to assist you in battle or collecting infomation. You can summon up to 2sprites (Monster Manual PG:283) they are connected to your mind and attempt to follow any command you give them. They will stay around for a full day or untill you dismiss them or they die. It has 5 charges and can be recharged by meditating for one day.
