Disgraced Apprentice

Growing up poor, an orphan, or with limited opportunities, there is little you wouldn't do to improve your stature and grasp at a better life. When hard work failed to open those doors, you weren't afraid to use less-than-ideal methods to get what you wanted. Cheating, disguises, forged documents, bribery, or outright lies; its not fair that those options are only passable when the powerful and nobility use them. You wriggled your way into an apprenticeship, voraciously absorbing anything your mentor could give you, before they discovered your lies and removed you from their tutelage. 

Whether you were discovered and thrown to the streets, had the law set on your tail over theft or impersonation, or disgraced for the sanctity of your masters reputation, you find yourself without a teacher, but with the basis of skills you didn't have before.

Skill Proficiencies: Deception, and then one or two of the following: Arcana, History, Investigation, Medicine, Nature, or Religion.

Equipment: A small knife, evidence that supports for your fake identity, a token from your former mentor, a set of common clothes, and a pouch containing 10 gp

Disgraced Apprentices tend to be driven by a furious desire to find a better life and get out of the state they were born into, taking any learning they can along the way. They can be motivated by a need for knowledge, power, security, or art and are willing to shorn common morals and laws to achieve their goals. By nature of their experiences and ideals, they don't tend to be lawful.
